The kayaking and mountain biking guides of Adventures Through Kayaking have a tendency to elevate your outdoor experience to a level you would not expect. Not only are they expert kayakers and bikers, they are really nice caring people, going above and beyond to insure your safety and enjoyment at all times. Each one of them has their own style of sharing the Olympic Peninsula outdoors, from getting you acquainted with the sport to sharing stories, they are true professionals. It is not uncommon for the guides and guests to become so acquainted, they stay in touch and become life long friends.
With your safety as our #1 priority, your professional, experienced guides maintain a regimen of current first-aid, CPR, and guide skills training. All of the kayaking and mountain biking guides are devoted to the Northwest! They are enthusiastic about sharing the wonderfully majestic outdoors of the Olympic Peninsula and the Strait of Juan de Fuca waters – the bays, rivers, estuaries and trails; and are knowledgeable of the local history, geology, flora, fauna, and legends.
A native of Washington State, Jarrett has a long history of outdoor pursuits. From snowboarding to mountain boarding, yes, that’s right mountain boarding (a long skate board that is used on trails,) his enjoyment of the outdoors led to sea kayaking and mountain biking. When not kayaking, you might find Jarrett on the trail with his dog Trevor, on the waves stand up paddleboarding or shooting outdoor videos.

“Upon arrival we were pleasantly greeted and outfitted to begin our adventure. Our guide, Jarrod (or Jarrett), could not have been more patient and informative with us all. He put us “newbies” at ease with great instructions and patience.”
Tammi is passionate about the northwest and continues to educate, and be educated, about this spectacular peninsula. In addition to first-aid and CPR training, she has also taken intensive Water Rescue and Wilderness First Responder Courses along with ACA’s rigorous Coastal Kayak Instructor Training. Her extensive outdoor recreational background includes working and playing in the rivers, lakes, bays, and mountains of the Olympic Peninsula for the past twenty years; and in the off-season she has taught sailing and snowboarding, led SCUBA excursions in Mexico and Honduras and filmed underwater video.

“Great Kayaking company” – 5 of 5 starsReviewed September 5, 2012 Trip Advisor
“Gearing up for some kayaking lessons we stopped into this shop last week-end. I just love it when I get the BEST customer service ever. We bought a paddle, and some attachments for our kayak rack, tried on some life jackets, and discussed kayaking techniques with the shop owner. She was so helpful. I’m sure we will be back to schedule a tour with her.”
