Mountain Biking Excursions near Olympic National Park

“We twisted and dipped on our mountain bikes through fragrant forests of cedar, hemlock and Sitka spruce; pedaled atop ridges with views of the Strait of Juan de Fuca and Vancouver Island; and looked down on the Elwha River Valley with the snowy peaks of the Olympics rising above it…”

-Rebecca Agiewich, Seattle Times

Gear up for some super fun singletrack mountain bike riding on the Adventure Route section of the Olympic Discovery Trail. You’ll coast through Douglas Fir forest with scenery of the Olympic Mountains, Olympic National Park. the glacially fed Elwha River, and the Strait of Juan de Fuca.

You can expect a smooth clear flowy trail, less than a 7% grade that is virtually free of any obstacles that your tires cannot flow over. To keep it interesting your skills will expand as you learn how to navigate tight corners.  This trail is a gem and one of the only beginner/intermediate mountain bike trails on the entire Olympic Peninsula. Your half day ride includes transportation, all equipment (front suspension mountain bike/helmet,) and expert guide, $79. Experience level: novice to intermediate, great for anyone 12 and up who enjoys coasting through forests and soaking up the outdoors. Trips run daily meeting at 1:30 PM, please book online here (April through September.)
